Star Trac's 8910 treadmill model is currently their only one that does not have full arms if you don't like to feel confined when running. This is one of their more basic models as it only have 6 programmed workouts plus 1 customizable profile. Its 3.0 hp motor allows speeds up to 10mph an inclines of up to 12%. Even though it is basic, it has quite a large running surface and easy-to-use speed and incline controls.

The S-TR series of Star Trac treadmills are commercial-quality, but are lighter, which makes them perfect for heavy-duty home use. The basic S-TR is similar in size and features of the 8910, but has an easier to read console and full arms. The S-TR has rubber-covered arms for added safety, with built-in heart rate sensors. The S-TRc is upgraded further to have a 5 hp motor.

The P-TR is a great commercial-level treadmill and is affordable enough for use in gyms around the world. Available for the P-model treadmills are an LCD-TV mount which is a necessary accessory for gym workouts, but is also a great plus for an in-home workout.
